READY FOR THE FIELD!

Here in Belgium, Halloween isn't really celebrated.  In fact, many people don't even want the word Halloween spoken.  The kids don't dress up in school.  The Student Council comes up with some other theme for the day, probably to deter people from sending their kids in in a costume.  Halloween actually fell over Fall Break, so Trick-or-Treating took place a couple of days before.  A certain neighborhood is chosen and parents who would like their kids to participate send in candy donations that are distributed to the houses in that neighborhood who would like to pass it out.  

NERD ALERT!!

A friend of ours, who had just returned from the US that morning, invited a bunch of families over for a little before and after party.  The kids mapped out their route and teamed up for how they could maximize their candy take.  I stayed behind with Piper and we passed out candy.  It was a fun night and the kids really enjoyed themselves.  

WHO WANTS CANDY?!
