As the saying goes, "All good things must come to an end." My surprise was a fantastic one. We got to celebrate my birthday and Gina's together. The day after her birthday, on September 26th, Jason loaded Gina up into his car and took her to the airport.
I have said a lot of goodbyes in the 12 years I have lived away from home, and I have gotten somewhat used to them. I was okay the morning she left, but got very sad when Jason posted this picture of her on Facebook.
We are many, many more miles away from home now, so I like to say it isn't goodbye, it will be SO LONG FOR NOW.
We are very much looking forward to our next visit!
